Mentorship platform privacy policy

The Data Controller of your personal data entered into the Mentoring Platform (hereinafter “the Platform”) is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, address J. Tumo-Vaižganto g. 2, e-mail: urm@urm.lt (hereinafter “the Data Controller”), which will process your personal data for the purpose of administering the Mentoring Project.

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter "Privacy Policy") provides information on how the Data Controller processes your personal data collected on this platform, outlines the rights and obligations of each data subject whose personal data is collected, and specifies the recipients to whom your personal data are provided.

The Data Controller processes personal data and exercises the rights of the data subject in accordance with:

 Regulation (EU) 95/46 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016/679 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation);

The Republic of Lithuania Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data.

WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?

Personal data is any information about a natural person that allows the identification of that person, directly or indirectly.

WHEN DOES THIS PRIVACY POLICY APPLY?

This Privacy Policy applies when personal data is provided on this Platform.

WHAT IS THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA?

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the consent of the individual by entering his or her personal data on the Platform.

For the purpose of the education of employees and students (hereinafter "data subjects"), as well as for the development and administration of the Mentoring Project, the following personal data of the data subjects are processed: name, surname, image (optional), position, type of activity, business email and telephone number, content of correspondence between the mentor and the mentee on the platform (the list is not exhaustive).

The personal data of the data subjects are processed until the end of the Mentoring Project. Once the Mentoring Project has ended, the Data Processor shall delete the data subjects' personal data from the Mentoring Platform.

TO WHOM IS THE PERSONAL DATA PROVIDED?

The Controller of the Mentoring Platform is VšĮ "Karjeros Platforma", address J. Basanavičiaus g. 41-5, Vilnius, Lithuania, e-mail: info@idialogue.lt, which, as a Data Processor, has access to your personal data stored on the platform for the purpose of the services provided to the Data Controller.

The Data Processor does not use your personal data for its own purposes.

WHAT RIGHTS DO I HAVE?

As a data subject, you shall have the following rights:

  • To know about the processing of your personal data;
  • To access own personal data;
  • To require the correction of incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate own personal data;
  • To require restriction of the processing of personal data;
  • To disagree with the processing of your personal data, if personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest;
  • To request the deletion of personal data (if you withdraw your consent);
  • To withdraw your consent at any time (where personal data is processed on the basis of consent);
  • To lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority, whose contacts can be found at vdai.lrv.lt.

If you intend to exercise your rights, please contact the Data Controller at urm@urm.lt with a specifically worded request. Please note that when exercising your rights, you must properly confirm your personal identity. You can confirm your identity by signing the request with a qualified electronic or mobile signature or by submitting your identity document (original or notarised copy) along with the request.

If you believe that the Data Controller and/or the Data Processor is not properly processing your personal data or is not adequately exercising or enforcing your rights, you have the right to contact the national supervisory authority for the protection of personal data. You can find all relevant information at www.vdai.lrv.lt.

WHAT ARE MY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES?

You take full responsibility for the correctness and accuracy of the personal data you provide.

In the event of a change in the personal data or other relevant information you have provided, you must promptly correct the personal data or other relevant information.

WHAT RIGHTS DOES THE DATA CONTROLLER HAVE?

Where the Data Controller doubts the correctness of the personal data or other relevant information provided, it has the right to request that such data or other relevant information be corrected and/or supplemented.
